Hey all. I know long time no write but this new job is definitely teaching this old girl something new. My new job is visual specialist at the new JCPenney opening in the city. For those that may not know, Visual Specialists are responsible for every graphic and mannequin change that happens in the store. The job here is a bit extended because this is a brand new store which will be beautiful. The colors and layouts will give a brightness to the Manhattan Mall that has been dulled due them losing anchor stores over the years. I haven’t been able to contact my friends and since I am not a huge phone person, as you can imagine, I am sucking at communication. That is also to say I haven’t heard from to many of my friends lately but I know e’erybody is busy.

I also have a new set of people I am working with which means brand new personalities. What I am loving though is that the true colors have already shown in these short 3 weeks so I am not caught off guard or surprise like I was at my precious employer. I do like most the people I work with but unfortunately my direct supervisor is rubbing me the wrong way. I don’t know why I am attracting such frenetic people as managers. What I did learn though, is when things don’t go right or our overall manager gets upset, My boss is quick to blames others instead of being a supervisor and accepting some responsibility. It is OK because now I know so I am not blindsided. I do believe she is realizing that I am not over hyper. Usually now when she talks, I just nod and say ok. I am not gonna stress working anymore. I have been working for 16 yrs now and what I have learned is you just gotta roll with it and it will work out.
Much love to you all. I got homework to do

I I have decided to take nothing but B&W fashion images at least for the next 6 months. I have been told my Black and white images are pretty good so I am gonna just shoot that for awhile. I am looking to get my creative juices flowing again and school is helping with that immensely plus the fact of me becoming part a visual team I am sure ideas will be flowing.
So I am looking for Models, Makeup artists, hair stylists and Wardrobe stylists in the NYC and Tri state area
. Please understand I am re- doing my book so I wont be able to pay. Hey I am being honest. I know they say you get what you pay for but I have done TFCD with some talented people so that saying doesnt always ring true. If you are interested, send emails of your work or model images to janine@dracophotography.com
Models: Female Height 5′7″ to 6′0″

Yesterday was the album release day for DAY 26. I was assisting Kenya of Official Heat TV and Chuck Holliday of Glamours Edge. Kenya was interviewing the Band yesterday. The interview was supposed to start around 4pm. We did not get to see the guys till 5pm. As Chuck explained to me, that’s the music industry. That completely messed with my on time sensibilities. When we did meet them, they were very down to earth and funny guys, especially Mike and Brian. The interview was fun and I got some great shots. We then proceeded over to the Album release at Best Buy in Midtown. You should have seen the line outside just waiting for them. Power 105 was there helping with the promotion. Mr Ed Lover himself was on the one’s and twos. I have attached some images from yesterday. Enjoy

I am so happy that i am going back to school. It has given me something to do until i get a new job. I am looking for smething part time so I will have time to dedicate to school. I am taking courses in Fashion Merchandising and so far so good. One of the best things about the program is each class is only 5 weeks so you have to develop your time management and organizational skills. Im really excited. Now to just find a good part time job.
Wish me luck
