Ouch………………

Well, unfortunately I am going through a bit of personal issue.  STUDENT LOANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is what mine feels like. Now I am not looking for a pity party. My biggest issue is that I am not making enough to pay it the way I want to pay it.  I have received numerous emails from the Feds about what they are going to do to me if I do not pay. Funny thing is, I already know. Garnish wages, take away my tax returns yadda yadda yadda.

I have asked for a forbearance  so that I can pay later. I have asked for deferments. The whole process is ridiculous because the time frames are so damn short and doesn’t really answer my questions.

Student loans is not the only debt I have. I have a credit card and I have unemployment to pay back.

While I try not to let it get to me, this is just a venting post. I know I will be able to do it but this is just F&^*ing ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pen to paper.. let’s be real.. hand to keyboard

After procrastinating on what seems like forever, I finally started up again writing my How to book. Yes that is right. I am adding writer to my repertoire. I have always written especially in journals. Most I would consider short stories  or tawdry novels full of sex and human emotion but I have always put it off.

As I write, it seems the words just flow and it felt really good just to type. I figure not only will it help me get my Book out but It will help my typing skills.  I am actually very excited and I am planning on self publishing.  I figured since I am trying this myself , why not give self publishing a go. I found a site called Lulu.com that will help with get my book on places like Amazon.com , Nook and Kindle.

It seems more and more people are reading Ebooks so I figure why not get on the bandwagon. Also This how to is about something I have pretty good knowledge about considering that it has been my working life for over 20 years.

I am currently having Paula at DCartist work on my cover. Paula is amazing.  She just re-did my photography logo and I couldn’t be more pleased.

I do hope you guys will purchase a copy of my book once its out.  Now just to find an editor……….

For my Birthday, I was taken to Des Moines Iowa. There was a convention called I-Con. Of course everyone that loves comics and sci fi were in attendance and you also know what that means.. COSTUMES!!!!

3 Months in the Midwest

Hey My Blog family. Sorry for my MIA status but I did move to midwest and am working on getting settled.  So I am now in Omaha NE ( Privately, Might as well be the capital of Nebraska since more people know about Omaha than Lincoln).  This is definitely a little city that wants to play big city. 

 

It has a ways to go but I can see it getting there. In the area where I live, there are about 3 strip malls and if you take the bus, one large Mall. Yes malls.  Something so not used to coming from NYC. There were not really malls in the city. NYC has shopping districts.  You will need a car here, plain and simple. For this, I am happy because it forces me to get my license. I need the nudge. 

Omaha however is not what I expected. I expected to be severely white washed ( if I offend I am sorry) but it is surprisingly diverse. There are many ethnicities seen anywhere and everywhere. This is a reason why I believe their large city status may be more than a few years away.  I have seen the fashion ( those who know how to dress and those that believe jersey shore is a style). 

 

One thing that Omaha has over NYC is the abundance of more than 1 child families. Where I worked, I  have met moms with 3 or more kids so there is a huge family aspect out here that is not one in NYC. Now that is not to say NYC does not have a huge families, but they were seen few and far between. 

 I am also getting accustomed people just dropping by without much notice. Not something I am used to. There was usually some level of pre-planning involved. 

I have decided to take advantage of the area I am in by learning how to drive, going to gym and explore a little more of my new home. 

I will be posting pictures as soon as I can. I did manage to take a few at a Convention they  had out in Des Moines recently. 

I cannot honestly wait to get back to shooting.
