AMA’s and the Twitterverse

I will admit.  I was only watching the AMA’s for Jennifer Lopez’s new song to see why she still is stuck in the 90’s.  As i began to watch, i decided to post by hour on my Facebook page and blow up my Twitter account with what I saw.  I can say while the Award show itself was somewhat entertaining ( Alicia Keys and JAy Z, Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson), the wave of entertainment came from my friends commenting on my FB page and the postings on twitter just made it so much more entertaining.  What twitter has done is give instant info and commentary on awards shows. What used to be water cooler chatter the next day is instantaneous clowning and joking the same time on the same night.  I will say the American Music Awards felt rushed as if they got advertisers to only pay for 3 hrs. Almost every performance was lackluster like everybody was tired.   Also, the fact that Taylor swift won almost everything hit a nerve with most. Taylor is talented but How it is that GAGA won absolutely nothing. FOR REAL!?!?!?

Watching Mary’s performance made me miss 411 Mary. She a lil too happy but I still love Mary.  Whitney didnt try to hard to hit those notes and I dont blame her. Her pipes are not the same.  Rihanna performance left everyone confused and was ridick-ulous.  Black eyed Peas using a Nirvana sample. Um no.. Kurt rolled over in his grave.  Adam lambert closed the show.. AWFUL. and please oh please explain why perezhilton is still relevant? JLola fell on her ass and As my friend said she has enough cushion to bounce back.

LOL

All in all what made the AMA’s was the tweets and the FB comments.  Kudos to my tweet fam and my FB. Thanks for making this show more entertaining.

KUDOS— Jennifer J. Visual Specialist

I told my co workers that I would start blogging about our visual exploits at JCP NYC to showcase the talent everyone has.

My first Kudos is going out to Jen J. who styled and created the holiday window. Of course, final approval had to come from the big boss but her window looks great. Jen was assisted by Jess, Lisa and Myself. I helped with lighting hehehe

DING DONG the Wicked Brat is Gone and One of my favs got dismissed

Well Top model did the unexpected and got rid of two models tonight. Unfortunately, they did let go of one of my favs, Jennifer.. Jen where ever you are I LOVE YOU!!! you are extremely phenomenal and when I get to be a kickass photographer would love to shoot you. Your whole body of work plus your personality, truly amazing. I wish you much success.  They did finally get rid of Erin. Though Erin has a great model look, her attitude is basically what turned me off of her.  I know secretly everyone wants the other person to fail, but for Pete’s sake put your best face and attitude forward.  I am looking forward to the finale to see who goes all the way.

The longest day has an end

24_Longest_Day_Black_Shirt

Since working at my new job, it seems to be just one really long day.  Everyday there is always the expectation  that something will be wrong, someone or groups of people will get yelled at, someone else will take credit or someone will be threaten about keeping their job. Now, I understand in this job market when most companies are keeping themselves in the black by not hiring people for positions they have open, but people should not have to feel like they must kiss someone’s butt just to keep their job.  I have learned the attitudes of mostly everyone I work with but I am frankly getting annoyed of not being able to state my case and deal with someone’s verbal diarrhea. I am looking for a new job in fashion merchandising but corporate wise. I am going back to school for fashion merchandising so being a merchandising assistant or coordinator so i can grow and learn. I am a consummate learner and I pick up things very quickly.  My fellow co workers  are all looking for a new place to work and I am hoping that we all find something new that will allow us to us our talents. While I am learning, I am realizing this might not actually be a good fit for me.   I am hoping that the someone calls me back for a job interview so I can use the new skills I am learning both school and job wise.

The Fix is in——- AHHHH

Ok OK.  This is the final straw.. Last week, they left Erin on the show and kicked Brittany off.  The week before they kicked off Rae.  What the hell? What kinda behavior are we teaching? be a brat and stay. She basically wished Nicole to suck and Messed up a photo shoot with Russell James.. Good Grief. I loved how all the other girls looked when Erin got called.  The sad thing I am noticing is they seem to always put the edit in of the girl who wants Erin gone and then by some magical fairy dust, they end up being kicked off. I guess the other Girls really shouldnt say anything and just let Erin flounder.. Are they giving her extra chances cause she is the youngest?  that’s BS cause they know full well that doesnt happen in the industry if they dont like ya.

WOW..disappointed
